I'm kind of behind on mail, but this topic makes

me laugh. Even when I was a kid I couldn't sleep

if it wasn't perfectly quiet. When my sister

snored, I would throw a pillow at her. She would

wake up and stare at me (she couldn't see without

her glasses), and I would pretend to be asleep.

It worked! If my parents had their TV on, I

would wait until I thought they were asleep and

go turn it off. I wear ear plugs, but I can

still hear. I remember when I got diagnosed with

fibro (1980), light sleepers was a factor. I

think if we could get in a deep sleep without

meds we would feel a lot better.

Hi Joanne,

I'm weird and I'm the first one to admit it lol. The thing about me is that any

other noise besides the fan drives me up the walls when I'm sleeping. No TV,

radio...a dripping faucet makes me want to rip the sink off the wall.

The only time I slept with earplugs is when I dated my last boyfriend. His

snoring would rattle the windows and I felt like rattling his eyeballs lol. I

could still hear him, but not as bad. If I ever go anywhere to stay all night

again, I bet I don't leave the house without my earplugs.
