Guest guest
I've been living through nightmare for 3 years. The trouble started with a case of shingles in Jan `05. From that point I experienced unexplained bouts of depression/anxiety, agitation, aches (joint & muscular), fatigue, tingling/burning sensations, nausea, weight loss, forgetfulness, sleep problems (waking periods 2-4am), and palpitations. The most troubling aspect of these issues has been the effect upon my emotions (depression & anxiety). I took an Adrenal Stress Index from Diagnos-Techs last August. Here are my numbers: Free Cortisol: 7-8am 26 (13-24nM) elevated 11-Noon 3 (5-10nM) depressed 4-5pm 2 (3-8nM) depressed 11-Midnight 5 (1-4nM) elevated DHEA: Pooled Value 4 (3-10ng/ml) normal As a result, I started taking the following supplements in addition to Iodoral and Celtic Sea Salt: Seriphos, DHEA, and an Adrenal glandular. I also reduced my exposure to electromagnetic radiation which was causing me a lot of problems. By December I was seeing improvement in some symptoms but I continued to have issues. I'm still having severe bouts of depression and anxiety. I had some blood work done earlier this month. Here are the results: TSH 3.322 uIU/ml (0.350-5.5) Thyroxine (T4) 8.5 ug/dL (4.5-12) Triiodothyronine (T3) 141 ng/dL (85-205) Triiodothyronine (T3), Free, Serum 3.3 pg/mL (2.3-4.2) T4, Free (Direct) 1.21 ng/dL (0.61-1.76) Pregnenolone, MS 146ng/dL (20-150) DHEA 178 ug/dL (95-530) Can someone help me understand these numbers? I see some controversy regarding what is considered a normal TSH range, etc. All I know is that I do not feel well. Help, please! thanks, george
