This sounds exactly like what my mother went through the whole time I was growing up. She had terrible pain problems. She used a lot of pain meds for other types of pain, but for the muscular issues in her legs and back, she used muscle relaxants. I'm not sure how they work, but maybe they would do something more than mag? You've probably already tried, but thought I'd mention it. One part of her problem was one leg shorter than the other. Having a lift built onto one shoe helped some. Another thing that helped with her overall pain issues was an antidepressant, Elavil. I don't know how those help with pain, but she felt it helped more than anything ever had. --

I have to drum up some strength to go in and ask for something.
