> started googling about PINEAPPLE that I found ***Bromelain

Enzyme*** as a strong Anti Inflammatory enzyme which can be great

for many other disorders like ...., arthritis...., edema,

inflammation... surgical traumas...It was great to see it can be used

for Arthritis (inflammation of the joints ) as well because my

brother is suffering it and it's an AutoImmune Disease too. It's a

somehow odd that whatever I find useful for PSC it is for Arthritis

too.

Hi Melvyn, I can't thank you enough for posting this. My son (who

has PSC) does not have any itching yet, but I will look into the

bromelain enzyme now for later itching. I will also look into it now

for myself (for today, this week, next, and on) and on that, I'm very

grateful to you. I have arthritis in my hands and am off all meds

and supplements right now as pre-op for spinal surgery in April.

I've only been off for 4 days, but my hands began swelling up and

feeling the aching, throbbing, and stiffness right away.

Ironically, I was going to post a question on my own message board

today asking if there was any food w/ anti-inflammtory properties,

since I can't take any meds or supplements (not even my multivitamin

b/c I'm suppose to avoid vit E pre-op). I know to avoid tomatoes

right now b/c they are an inflammatory food, but haven't researched

the anti-inflammatory foods yet. Being off meds, of course, hasn't

helped any w/ the inflammation in and around my spine either, so yet

another boost to looking into this enzyme in pineapples. THANK YOU

for sharing this information that may help me now and my son later

on. Your timing is unbelievable.
