Guest guest
Has anybody got any experience of trying to gain weight/muscle as a PSC sufferer? I've been discussing the problem with a personal trainer and he is interested in looking at what sort of nutrition would be best. Clearly heavy supplement programs and in particular creatine are not a good idea, but I'd be interested to hear what may have worked for you? Incidentally as part of the training program I've been recommended to try an elimination diet of no gluten/dairy for 2 weeks along with cooking as much from fresh as possible, buying organic where possible, and drinking more water. The other thing I'd like to do is take either Lecithin or SAMe supplements but I don't know which is more effective? Thanks for your advice, Dx '05, ERCP+stent '05 Currently on 1250mg UDCA/day
Guest guest
, Here in Israel the liver association recommends a thirty minute workout five times a week. It does not need to be anything strenuous. Walking or swimming is fine. For me it is a problem not to gain weight, so I won't waste your time with my diet.
