Were doing a Metabolic Analysis Profile by Genova Diagnostics for our 5

yr. old daughter who has mostly recovered from PDD-NOS. She is having

problems with being able to push out BM's. Her underwear is smeared and

it takes much effort to push it out. This started after trying to

reduce her viral load using vit c and virastop. Her stools have been

consistently well formed and nice in color. We watch yeast like a hawk

and go low and slow with the anti-virals. Anti-virals have given us

nice cognitive gains and has improved her eye-contact to where it is

neurotypical most of the time. We chelate using Andy's protocal -oral

DMPS and ALA. She has high arsenic and mineral derangement per DDL hair

analysis. Although I believe her body still requires supplementation to

maintain gains and continue improvement it is awesome to see her

changes. They have been dramatic. She is pretty darn close to not

having any tendencies left. Less than two years ago she would not

respond when you called her name. Sorry I'm not getting to the point.

I have questions about this amino acid test

The paperwork that comes with the test states that non-necessary

supplements, such as vitamins (avoid consuming more than 2 grams per

day of vitamin C), minerals and amino acids, are generally avoided for

four days in order to establish a baseline analysis. However, to assess

the clinical adequacy of a supplement regimen, such supplements (other

than those listed on the front page) may be continued.

4 days before the test

Check with your health care provider about discontinuing supplements

that may affect test markers. Follow your healthcare provider's

medication instructions.

Our provider did not give us any instructions.

2 days before the test

Avoid supplements of creatine, alpha-ketoglutarate, malic acid,

citrate, malate, or orotate forms of minerals.

24 hours before the test

There is a list of several foods to avoid.

We plan to give the test on Monday. This morning which was Thursday

morning we did the following.

After chelation round I dropped her Kirkman's childrens multi-vitamin

and mineral, and other additional vitamins and minerals such as E and

magnesium and zinc along with the amino acids - L carnatine and lysine.

(the carnatine has really helped with the muscle tone but we were

giving 2 250mg capsules twice daily). I also dropped CLO since it has

vitamin A & D. Basically all that is left is enzymes, probiotics,

epicor and milk thistle. I can't wait until Monday when I can add these

things back in. I know how much they helped but maybe she does not

require as what she used to.

Does it sound like I am doing this right? I hate to confuse results of

a test that costs so much. I have put off doing this test for about

seven months because I did not want to take her off of some of these

supplements even for a short period. It appears that she really needs

the carnatine and I am hoping that we will be able to identify what and

how much amino acids will be most helpful.

I am concerned about if she will be able to have regular bm's during

this time. We strive for one a day or every other day.

Thanks, Melinda
