I'm home!

They removed the stent and figured that whatever the bacteria was, if

it was there, the antibios were working. They said conditions were

not favorable for inserting another stent at this time, and to see

how I feel before scheduling another ERCP to put in another. Overall,

the bile ducts looked ok, though, and did NOT look like I had a

cholangitis attack, or pancreatitis. They suspected just a nasty

virus, in the end, because it was really the only thing that could

tie ALL of my symptoms together--the nasty liquid D, persistent 5 day

headache, fever, rigors, dizziness, abdo pain, etc. They were scared

at first and treating me with kid gloves because so many of my

symptoms could also be attributed to a cholangitis attack. So they

said I did all the right things in being concerned and going to the

ER, coming to , etc., and that I shouldn't do anything

different in the future if I present with the same symptoms.

So I was sent home with a mega-dose of Xifaxan, phenergan, and

percocet. I still have abdo pain that gets pretty bad if I go without

meds for too long, and my headache is still KILLER to the point that

I couldn't move this morning when I woke up, because of the

throbbing. It's still breaking through the percocet right now, so

I'll have to keep on top of that for a few days.

We're at my parents', I'm being taken care of, and I'm ok!!
