Guest guest
Just an update to everyone regarding my ERCP. I had my first real insult from PSC the week before Easter with a cholangitis attack. I had been asymptomatic since diagnosis in 2001. Back in December I had tests done at the Rochester Mayo as part of my post 5 year study trial for Hi-Dose Urso and Dr. Lindor showed my wife and I what he suspected were stones in some of the ducts. Without being symptomatic, he did not feel the need for an ERCP but suggested that if I were to get an attack, these potential stones would probably be the culprit. So with the attack in March, we scheduled the ERCP. Both Dr. Harnois and Dr. Lang from Mayo ville agreed I should get it done even though I have felt wonderful since my attack. Yesterday my local Hep used a balloon to pull down and out 3 stones. At my urging, he also took samples for brush cytology as well as F.I.S.H. and sent those samples to Mayo Rochester. The procedure was done with anesthesia, and the most pain I had was from the I.V.....what a relief. I am tired today but relieved at not having pancreatitis. I was concerned that I was getting a test done when I felt wonderful. All the doctors were spot in their affirmative response to my questions and the encouragement I got from all my friends at the conference and on emails made me feel good about the ERCP. Thank you everyone for all your support. Tarheel Tim

That's good that they were able to remove those stones too. Feel well.... Ricky Re: Re: Tim's ERCP Just an update to everyone regarding my ERCP.
