Guest guest
Hi Rick Don't know about a hot tub, but if it works go for it. I know I feel better during the summer, not sure if that is a result of being outside is keeping my bilirubin level down, the same as newborns with jaundice being put in sunshine or fluorescent lights to lower their levels. > > This might be out in right field, but I'm wondering if anyone else has > noticed that temperature has anything to do with the constriction or > dilation of bile ducts and bile flow? Guest guest
- or left field Anything that thins the bile helps. For me, keeping well-hydrated works (and that may be what you're experiencing). I have, on occasion, used a heating pad to alleviate. A hot tub should work the same. Caution - when you get a blockage (vs. sludge flow), it's a lot worse, and you may need to visit the ER. This can be the start of cholangitis, and may result in sepsis. Sepsis IS a medical emergency; keep in mind you may not be in good enough shape to make good decisions.
