Guest guest
I know you dont feel like it is working but think about this. Would you have lost 52# in 4 mos without the surgery? AND be able to keep it off? I think you are doing great! Keep working out! You are building muscle.....lean muscle not gaining fat cells now and you should be proud ;o) WHen the weight loss seems slow, the inches are most likely coming off and muscle being built by you! Your chances of having to have plastic surgery are less when it is a slower weight loss too. BIG PLUS FOR YOU!!! I am losing faster than most,,,,,,,,,,,,,but I have a saggy body to show for it too. Everyone loses differently girlfriend. I wish I could have lost slower like it has now gotten. Up your protien drinks a bit. Add one or two more to your daily intake. Be sure to get in that water like you are. YOU'RE DOING TERRIFIC! Think about how good youwill feel when the weight has all come off. You WILL do it, you WILL feel great, you ARE WONDERFUL! Guest guest
- Ask the MD if he can still do the exam if you have your period. I had that happen once when I went for my annual and the MD said she could still do the pelvic exam, even with my menstrual flow. Don't let that stop you to get answers! Guest guest
I was told you can add in all the AP points that you earn. Most people just don't earn more than 4. And I was told I should be using them. A few weeks back at a meeting the leader challenged us to up our weekly exercise. So I did. And gained 2 lbs. That has been the only week I gained weight. You need to eat at least some of your AP points. I was told if you didn't eat enough that would keep you from losing.
Guest guest
You said, " almost overnight, " what did you mean by that? If you gained 6 pounds in a week, chances are it is water weight which can be caused by many factors. Those might include stress, menstrual cycle, introducing a new food, including more salty foods than usual, not drinking enough water, and perhaps you " upped " the intensity of your workout. Chances are that its not just one single factor. I've been told in the past that its difficult to gain 6 pounds of actual fat in one week (however, I've been known to give it a try). So, give yourself a break, try to analyze (without emotion) what changes happened last week and get back to your OP self. It will all pass, this is just one week in a pattern of losses. Remember, if you loose more than you gain, you are a 'loser!' And I mean that only in the best way Keep on losing! fellow loser; HELP Hi... I have been truly OP and exercising. I have gained 6lbs... almost OVERNIGHT. I have not used my flex points ( I usually don't), and I have swam everyday in the month of August except for yesterday. BUT I did walk briskly for 40min. What is going on? I want to cry! I have been doing EVERYTHING I am suppose to do. Suzie

Guest guest
My TOM is not very regular... BUT I do not feel like I do during that time.. I have been very careful about measuring.. No bites, licks or tastes. I've been chewing gum while I cook. I have been on WW online for a very long time... but I have only been serious since July. I started out at 218.6 and last week I weighed 210.2 NOW this AM I weighed 216! The only thing I feel a little off about.. is the last week I have had a odd stomach problems. I thought it might be a virus, since I worked in the nursery at our church on Sunday. My stomach has felt bloated and yucky.. but not yucky like the flu... if you know what I mean. Here is a normal day for me.. Breakfast: Sour Dough Toast lightly buttered with MOOVE over Butter Lunch: WW Chicken Salad sandwich on sourdough 3points 1 cup 's Vegetable beef soup 2pts Dinner 1 Tamales 9pts 18 Chips + Salsa 6 1/4 cup rice 1 pt I usually eat the majority of my points during dinner. Guest guest
Hi Carla, A very warm welcome to the group! I am assuming you have not had a biopsy yet. That is really the only way to get a definiteve diagnosis for IgAN. The kidney infections are not a symptom of IgAN, but spilling protein and flank pain certainly can be. High blood pressure is very common with chronic kidney disease as well. The truth is that kidney disease is mostly asymptomatic especially until you get down to 30% function or below. The good news is that your kidney lab tests are normal. That is what you want to see. If you have not yet had a biopsy, is your Nephrologist considering doing one? Welcome again, Help I have had a 10 yr history of kidney infections that have associated flank pain. As of Dec 2004 the pain is now daily but the hospital and doctors haven't been able to diagnosis me with any specific problem. The pain was at first associated with high frutose corn syrup but as it has progressed in the past 4 months I have increased pain after I eat and when I urinate. The flank pain area feels like it swollen, inflammed, and hard. My urinalysis tests of late have shown normal results whereas in Dec and Jan every test I had showed I have high protein in my urine. I have also since developed high blood pressure and low blood sugar. I have been successful in lowering my pain by working on and changing my diet but I still have pain. I feel that by reading the information on your website that I have some of the symptoms listed but not all. I have been very frustrated with how little help doctors have been able to give me or how willing they have been to help me. I'm not looking for anyone to diagnosis me but to see if there are other people out there that have simular problems and/or suggestions to help. Guest guest
Please get it checked as soon as possible. Its better to follow up with what you think could be BC then to ignore it and possibly have serious problems later. Guest guest
Hi Delia, You have not failed. You have succeeded and you are doing great. 20 pounds is fantastic. Sometimes our bodies need a rest. I know mine needed a rest a few times and for a while I did not lose any weight. I too was very dissappointed but soon enough my body got itself together again and I started to lose again. What you are experiencing is normal. Can I ask are you followingthe after care plan your doctor has given you? Don't get too discouraged. You have made a great decision having the operation. Take care Australia 321/233/176 help Hi everyone! My name is Delia and I am 36 yrs old and have a son name , which I love with all my heart. I decided to have Gastric bypass surgery about three yrs ago after my divorce, which was a wake up call for me. I was schedule four times for surgery and every time it got canceled due to me getting sick or I had some type of infection in my blood. I then decided to wait three yrs later, which would be 2006 to try again. I finally had my surgery on Oct 9, 2006 and all went well I even lost 20 pounds. I am getting about two protein shakes daily most of the time and I am now on soups and soft foods. I am doing much better now with water now and I even stared going to the gym this week. I am new at this so I would love feed back for you guys I have read some of message boards they keep me going. I am feeling very discouraged due to me not losing any more weight I feel I have failed again.. The Doctor told me if in four weeks there were no weight loss he would order an upper GI. I feel I have failed again.
Guest guest
Since taking elavil (10mg at nite) almost all my vaginal burning has subsided, I am left more with odd symptoms of fist feelings, tightness, burning in rectum, burning when I pee and today burning when I pooped. I am exhausted trying to figure out what route to go with this. I had an mri done today of my lumbar spine, thanks to my pcp. My gyne felt it wasn't necessary. My pcp is ordering a catscan for my pelvis and I am meeting with a neurologist on Sept 20. I am not certain what is the best plan for me right now- to try to get evaluated with one of the leading pts (Rhonda) or to go the route of seeking out the pudendal nerve specialis (Dr. Conway). Does anyone have any insight into this for me? I am so tired right now worrying. CarolGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.
Guest guest
Lee: Wanted to bump this up so you can get some responses. (I also emailed you privately) One thing that I just thought of - due to the itching is do you have any white patches or tiny tears in the vulvar skin? Sometimes this can be Lichen Schlerosis which is another auto immune disease. Its easily controlled with topical steroids. Increasing your water intake may help the burning issue and if you drink coffee eliminating that would probably help a lot, too. Creating a " barrier " from the urine may help (like vaseline) so that it doesn't touch the irritated skin. Hope this helps and hope you get more responses with more ideas.
