Guest guest
, I can't imagine having to go through the transplant and then having the J-Pouch surgery. had his surgery rather quickly after being DX with the UC. Of course you don't know how long he had the PSC before he was DX with that. Thanks very much for the info, this will pass soon and I will be back to normal in no time. Guest guest
Larry, 's j pouch surgery was actually 2 years before his transplant. It was during his j pouch surgery that they discovered how bad his liver was. Looking back, he made a good decision with the j pouch because of the amount of ascites he dealt with. He would have had a difficult time with the ostomy supplies and his swollen stomach. The three month in between j pouch surgeries was difficult for . Just getting used to everything, but it made him that more appreciative when he had the take down. I want to repeat what someone else told you. Get to know your ostomy nurse well. She will help you so much. And if you have an ostomy supply store to actually visit, instead of mail ordering everything, that is good too. The people at the ostomy supply store were very helpful to us. wife of
