Sorry, Irene, but I don't like clowns either. It took me years and years to

figure out why. They're loud, both their voices and their clothes. Their

clothes are bright and gaudy. They often blow loud whistles or horns. In

short, everything about them assaults my senses and I don't like them. It's

probably a major character flaw on my part that will keep me from winning

President Of The Clowns Of The World Association position. :-)

Well at least I'm not alone in my " unnatural aversion to clowns " lol. Maybe your

reasons are why I never did like them either Darcy, I don't know.

Now, I haven't liked them ever since I can remember, so this can't be the reason

why...But have you ever seen the movies " King's Itt " and " Killer Klowns

From Outerspace " ? *giggle*

No Jacqui,

You're not at all alone in your aversion to clowns! I have the same

problem and have since I was a small child. My parents took me to the

circus when I was about 4 or so and I screamed and cried in terror when a

clown came over to our seats during the show!! I've just always seen

something sinister behind the painted smiles (or sad faces). And yes, I

LOVE both movies you mentioned below, and It is also my favorite

King book - and the movie follows it very faithfully :-)

Sorry, Irene, but I don't like clowns either. >>Well, I have collected them

for years. I am, however, not buying anymore. I got rather tired of them.

I am now buying the Lilliput places of England. In fact, I just ordered a new

on for the Queen's Jubilee. The clowns are put away as there were so many

that they cluttered up and there was not room for other things. I still like

clowns just don't want to look at them every day.

Take care,

Irene
