Guest guest
It has been more than a year since I took my regular B-12 shots. With my recent symptoms of a Crohn's flare up, and given that I get my 3 amalgams replaced in 2 days, is it ok for me to take Cyanocobalamin (as a shot) just a day before the removal. This is the only form of B-12 that is available here versus hydroxy or methyl forms. It struck me just today that some of my general fatigue, as well as the tired feeling in the legs when walking up a slight incline etc. could be due to long overdue shots of B-12. I have been taking folinic acid pills(Kirkmans) since 10 days now. You may note that I have had 2 resections of the small bowel alongwith removal of the terminal ileum. Does this mean I will not be absorbing the B-12 shots very well, even not at all? Should I just wait till after the removals?
