Guest guest
Hi, I had an ultrasound recently of liver, gallbladder and pancreas. The findings showed a 1cm gallstone. I was referred to a surgeon who I saw this morning, to discuss possibly having my gallbladder removed. Also in the ultrasound findings regarding my liver were: " The liver is normal in size. Within the hepatic parenchyma adjacent to the gallbladder, there is a homogenously hyperechoic 1.2cm nodule. Within the hepatic dome, there is 1.7cm homogenously hyperechoic nodule. These nodules are most compatible with benign cavernous meningiomas. " The surgeon is hesitant to remove my gallbladder due to my liver condition as it could cause me problems in the future. I see my hepatologist tomorrow and the surgeon would like him to call or write regarding his views. Those of you have had their gallbladder removed, has it caused you any problems? Were you able to have it removed by laparoscope or did you have to have undergo the full open surgery? I am not quite sure I am understanding what could happen. Thanks for any input!
