Guest guest
Mine was removed laparoscopically - no problems, for me since then (2001). No gallstones, " just " 3X normal size and " clearly diseased " . The only thing the surgeon said he did differently, was to leave more of a " stub " on the common bile duct (to the gallbladder) than he would normally. He just didn't want to risk getting any closer to the CBD than he had to. I was told to maintain a low fat diet (~30 gms/day) for several months. I was pretty much already doing that, so it was no problem. Were you able to have it removed by laparoscope or did you have to have undergo the full open surgery?
