Hi nne, yes I think my pharmacist told me that 2mg of valium is like 1/3 of .5 of ativan or something like that. I would like to try the low dose of valium- 2mg/3day just to see if it helped my pelvic floor muscle pain because I know Dr. Goldstein wrote about it for treatment of pfm symptoms. But I suppose what I am doing with the ativan would serve the same purpose. My homeopath told me that valium is VERY constipating, so I wonder in the long run it these meds really are not making matters worse:(Create a Home Theater Like the Pros. That’s really great Carolyn. I am going to try for every

three days also. I take a half pill too, but my prescription is for 10mg. .5

wouldn’t even touch my pain, I am afraid. But I keep my hopes up that I

will get better. But now that I think about it, I take Valium instead of Ativan

and I think the dosage is different. I’ll have to look it up when I feel

like it.

My neurologist also told me it was a nerve stabilizer- I think it

works on your central nervous system and just calms everything down- I decided

that I am going off the elavil ( I was only on 10mg) so I doubt I was even

getting that much relief, but I am just going to take ativan as needed (not

more that one half .5 ) every 3 days for pain.
