Guest guest
Hi , You are absolutely correct – that is exactly how Heath Ledger died. It is very easy to use too many of the same type of drugs. And I am sure he didn’t know this. He probably took a pill because he couldn’t sleep, and then maybe he had a bad headache (drinking??), so he woke up and took a pill for that, and maybe took another sleeping pill. And because it was available to him, it wasn’t an aspirin for his pain. And after sleeping for awhile and waking up and still having pain, he took something else. And two pills is always better than one … And after taking that much medication, he was not mentally conscious enough to count how many hours it had been since he took the last pill. I can see very easily how happened to him. That is why the DEA is cracking down so hard on physicians prescribing these drugs. I know my primary care doctor will not prescribe narcotics, which is why I go to a pain management doctor. It is going to become harder and harder to get narcotics if any more of these high profile people die from taking too many drugs. I belong to a chronic pain group, and people are very worried about this as, for example – someone is in a bad car accident, they are put back together, they are alive, but they are in incurable pain for the rest of their lives. They need these medications, but it is becoming harder and harder for them to get them. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Mace Sent: Sunday, March 30, 2008 3:06 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Heath Ledger? Re: Dee's email to neuropathic pain/slides I just suddenly wondered if this is what happened to Heath Ledger. I thought he died because of using drugs that enhanced the effects of other drugs. > > Ativan enhances the effects of some other drugs so if you took pain medication > and it didn't help and then take ativan it can cause the pain medication to work > better.
