I just ordered a test kit for my son last week, recieved it on

Saturday. There was an attached yelolow sheet which indic ated they

were doing correlation testing with serum and saliva TSH testing. We

were given the option to participate or not.

It might be nice though to be able to test cortisol, DHEA and sex

hormones via saliva testing at a reduced rate and continue doing the

thyroid testing via serum.

I have (clean) test results of T3,T4,TSH (before Armour or IC or

anything), but not any antibody tests.. Stupid endo - I *asked*

about thyroid, and he tested me for coeliac (which makes sense), but

NOT for TPO which would have sealed the damn case. That is, if he

believed in treatment for " sub-clinical " (not really, but..) but

antibody-positve Hashi's. Of course, he probably wouldn't - that

(might) increase the chances of causing it to go into remission

sooner rather than later or never - endos don't WANT that! Same

thing with selenium, or toxicity testing..

I am thinking that they are just trying to cover themselves. I have

seen on maybe the NTH or Iodine list there was talk about screwy

tests and some of they people were confronting Diagnos Tech about it,

with proof from their recent blood work.

So does it specifically say that you MUST do one of these options, or

can you just use saliva results?
