Both Daughters Have High RT3...Need help interpreting labs

I had my two daughters tested for thyroid a couple of weeks ago and here are

their test results. I asked for FT3, but the doctor did the Total T3 instead.

Let me know if you think I should get the FT3 done.

Oldest Daughter (6.5 years old)

FT4 1.0 (0.9-1.6) ng/dL

T3 Total 123 (104-190)

RT3 34 H (11-32) ng/dL

TPO 11 (<35) IU/mL

I also have her CMP if you want to see the whole thing I will post it, but here

are some that I think might be relavant:

Hemacrit 35.4 (35-45) %

Sodium 140 (135-146) mmol/L

Potassium 4.1 (3.8-5.1) mmol/L

Cholesterol 172 H (125-170) MG/DL

Triglycerides 78 (33-115) MG/DL

HDL 59 (37-75) MG/DL

LDL 97 (0-110) MG/DL

Cholesterol/HDL 2.9 (0-5)

Youngest Daughter (4.5 years old)

Hi Steph,

Yep I think its definately worth getting the Dr. to test FT3 for both your girls as they both seem to have a problem with RT3 and so once you get the FT3 we can help you work out the ratio of FT3/RT3 as its incredibly useful! To feel well the ratio needs to be over 20.

Their potassium levels may need addressing but and Nick will be able to comment further on that.
