Guest guest
I got a call today from my study Coordinator letting me know about the study suspension, as we all have read for the last two weeks. She told me to stop taking USDA, right away and to return back any unused pills. As has mentioned, they will keep monitoring us for a period of a year. We will be getting the official letters, soon. The reason why there is numerically more poor outcomes in the UDCA group is because there were more transplantation, as was mentioned last week and also more incidence of developing varices, in the UDCA group. I did learn that i was on the drug itself which i have already suspected, due to the sharp decline in my enzymes since i started on the high dose. They still want us to send back the 3mo diaries, but with only reporting hospital visits and new medication. I have already cut on the dose and i was hoping to continue either with a moderate or a mild one, but now it is out of the question for us who were in the study.
