LoriAs a living donor I can tell you we were lucky and from my side it went very well. I took 4 months off and have had no side effects except for occassional nausea. Your liver regenerates. They took 72% of my liver. The part I gave to my son was grown to full size in 2 months and within 6 months the piece I have left was full size again. This was over 3 years ago and I have no regrets at all. My husband was told that would have died within a week if we had not done this.Marti
