Judy... I too hope the meds are the cause of the digestive problems. Sure keeps us wondering doesn't it.

Bopsy Test Results Not Available Yet

Hello All,I survived the Endoscopy, EUC and biopsy done on Christmas eve. The doctor told me his opinion was that it was not malignant, but I wasn't thinking well enough to even ask him if that meantI did actually have a mass on my pancreas. I wondered if he just said that to make me feel better because it was Christmas Eve. What surprised me was how nervise the male anethesiology nurse was about having to give me general anesthesia. He ended up calling his boss down to the pre room to talk to him and then talk to me. Turned out she is my pain doctor. She told me that since they would put me on a ventilator there is always the risk that they cannot get you off of it. However, I told her my lung doctor had approved the general aethesia so I felt it was going to be o.k. It was except it really made my throat swell as well as my lips. I drank coffee Christmas morning and felt like my coffee cup was pointed then realized it was just my fat lips. :-) Jeff got me some sugar free popsicles after work yesterday and that has helped, but my stomach is still upset. I am hoping it is simply because I am on an antibiotic again. I have never taken Ciprofloxacin before, and will be glan when I finish taking it. From Jan. 2007(before my Aug 07 transplant)through my lung collapse in Nov 07 I had lost 50 lb. then I had gained 25 back. Now since this last rejection treatment in Sept. 08 and all these digestive problems I've lost at least 15 lb. again (including 5 lb. this last week). I don't mind losing weight but it certainly is not a fun way to do it. :-( Anyway I am hoping I'll get the biopsy results by Mon. and am still praying that all these digestive problems are just all these meds.Love and Aloha,Judy South Lebanon, OH IPF 11/06 TX 8/07

Hi Judy, Thanks for the info about Kerry. I am just inspired by all of you transplant members. Just Amazing.I am praying for her and you as well. Keep on fighting. Kerry is so young to have all this on her. In a few weeks I am hoping she will see that this was such a good thing. I am sure she has thoughts of "what have I done to myself". Bless her little heart.  Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida,  IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."  Hello All,I survived the Endoscopy, EUC and biopsy done on Christmas eve.
