Eileen, I saved your other posts on these subjects, but I'm still

struggling with what effective doses are, for me, and how to determine

whether I'm taking enough. I usually make it through most of the day

without much of a problem in terms of GI symptoms, but evening and

night-time continue to be problematic which is impacting sleep among

other things. This is sort of OT so I don't know if I should continue

to ask my questions here but I'll fire a few and see if the new mods

slap my hands ;)

I'm taking 2-3 caps of the Digest Gold with most meals, just 1 with

small snacks like a banana or piece of cheese. I take 500mg of

bromelain 3x/day with protein meals, and I recently added 1-2 caps of

HCL with those meals. I think that last time I asked you said that

you take 4-6 caps of HCL with every meal?!?! How did you determine

that you need so much? I'm drinking 1/2 cup of aloe vera juice 2x/day

which appears to settle my stomach some and hopefully promotes healing

of my intestines. I also take 1tsp of cod liver oil with a meal, and

my doc recently added 500mg of chromium at night to help level out

blood sugar and I asked if I could take it 2x/day to level them out

all day and he said yes.

My biggest problem right now is figuring out what I can eat in the

evening and before bed that isn't too heavy, won't upset my GI, and

that will digest slowly so that my blood sugar doesn't drop in the

middle of the night.

Thanks,
