Guest guest
Hi Cathy, I am long term CFS'er.. Probably about 20 years or even more.i diagnosed myself by symptoms at about 15 years after the start. i also took saliva test and my naturopath told me that this was cfs looking at the saliva test results. Low grade fever and sore throat occur at initial stages when cortisol is high. I am still not sure if CFS is adrenal fatigue or not. Val said me once she thinks it is. My naturopath also says so.I am still not so sure as I hear from some adrenal fatigued persons that they do not have immune system problems and I also met couple of persons who developed adrenal fatigue due to extreme stress and than improved without taking any adrenal support by only rest and sleeping. They were able to rest and sleep which I could never accomplish whole my life.I was always in run run run mode.Immune system problems turned my life into a disaster for at least 10 years so they are very very important part of the illness. It is my opinion that various stressors may precipitate cfs. some may also have genetic tendency. There is a yahoo group called cfsfmexperimental which you might be interested in. best wishes. Nil Re: diziness and balance problems Nil- I think I have CFS too. I get a low grade fever every night, and sore throat once in a while too. I've been trying to do some reading about it, but don't have much energy. What confirmed your CFS? I learned that my adrenals, pituitary and thyroid are all 'burnt out' 'low'. Isn't CFS basically multiple systems struggling resulting in low low energy? Sometimes can't it be related to a virus? Any ideas on what viruses to check for? Thanks for any help, e mail me privatly if you'd like > > I actually have CFS. Today I started having some dizziness and balance problems. This was something I experienced years ago when my CFS first started about 17 years ago. Lately I had been stress dosing because of the flu and I also added licorice to my regimen. I am wondering why these early CFS symptoms came back. Are these high cortisol symptoms? I wondered if I am overdosing?Do you have any idea on what might have changed for me to bring back these early symptoms? > > Thanks. > Nil > >
