HC cream thinning skin, was Re: My doctor and OTC cream and pills

Well, I truly question the " few weeks " thing because I've been using the

HC cream daily since the middle of September and if my skin has thinned

it is not detectable yet. And I'm 62 and have noticed some thinning of

skin on the backs of my hands and tops of forearms, but that is from

age, and has been present for quite some years now.

Though I do vary the areas I put the cream on, most doses still go on my

abdomen. I only started varying the area for some doses very recently.

So far no problems. I wonder if this is another case of generalizing

adverse effects from stronger cortisone products, like the betamethasone

Rx cream which is incredibly stronger than HC cream. 5 mg of

betamethasone is equivalent to 166.67 mg HC.
