Guest guest
I asked my mom to have her doctor do the FT3, FT4, and RT3 tests unfortunately from these results it doesn't look like he did the RT3. She just sent these to me in an email, but she's coming over tonight with a copy of her tests so I'm hoping the RT3 is on there. Anyway...I think maybe Val or Nick could probably interpret these results even without the RT3. T3 - 271 (normal 90-350). Free T4 - 1.42 (normal 0.82-1.77) TSH - 2.150 (normal 0.450-4.500) Free T3 - 2.6 (normal 2.0-4.4) My guess based on these is that she may have an RT3 issue since her Free T3 is near the bottom of the range and her Free T4 is above 1.4. She has type II diabetes and is on insulin. She has also had a heart attack and is on beta-blockers as well as Lipotor. She has been on Synthroid for over 30 years. Despite the fact that she can't stay awake if she is sitting still her doctor thinks her thyroid levels are fine. He told her that her sleepiness is most likely related to her elevated blood sugar levels and her low red blood cells. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Steph
