Guest guest
Not sure about this, but I think low cortisol can also mean blood sugar regulation problems, which can lead to weight gain. I'm in a similar situation to you. Although my calorie intake is fairly low, I was feeling that everything was sticking to me, especially around the middle. I have just started taking 10mg of cortisol twice a day. I'm not overweight, but I was worried about whether the cortisol would cause me to put on weight, but one immediate improvement I've noticed is that hypoglycemia is gone. My appetite seems more " normal, " not that hypoglycemia starving mode, and so I wouldn't be suprised if I lost a bit of weight. Will keep you posted. :-) ----Katharine s illusory@...> wrote: By 'adrenal stress belly' do you mean belly fat? I thought that taking cortisol makes one put on belly fat. I'm really confused over the adrenals issue. I was having a problem where, according to my doc, i couldn't turn the adrenals off (which means low cortisol?). I was having a strong reaction to amino acids/B12/folate he was giving me, which he said i would also have if i began thyroid meds too soon. The irritability/fatigue/breathing difficulty adrenal reaction -- seemingly that is because of LOW cortisol? This makes me wonder, because i have been putting on the belly fat for several months for no apparent reason, and I thought that was supposed to be from HIGH cortisol. Can anyone clarify?
