Guest guest
Barb and PSCers I have had a very low, managed case of PSC that was symptom free for many years (since 1990). Very recently my scores for Bili and ALT/AGT all went through the roof at 33 bili, and was placed on list for transplant. I am currently in the hospital with what may seem to be an infection and a stone causing a blocking and buildup. Has anyone else had this buildup/blockage due to internal infection? Joe -------------- Original message from "Barb Henshaw" : -------------- In 1985, at the age of 26, I was diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis, a degenerative disease of the bile duct system of the liver. I lived with this disease for 12 years, and began to see the signs of advanced liver disease somewhere around late 1995, early 1996. I was placed on the transplant waiting list in February of 1997, and at that point, had about a year, to a year and a half to live.Dealing with death as I did all throughout my EMS career, it took on an entirely different approa ch when it is the possibility of your own death that was staring back at you……….. http://mrnighttime.blogspot.com/2008/04/parts-is-parts.html Barb in Texas - Together in the Fight, Whatever it Takes! Guest guest
Has anyone else had this buildup/blockage due to internal infection?>>> Joe, After several ERCP's I was told I had lots of stones in the bile ducts. These plus the sludge in the ducts caused many infections in the last few years prior to my tx in 11/07.
