You're sweet Alyssa. Keep in mind that at age 12 he is unable to shop or cook

much for himself, so it will be up to his parents to help with this, so it means

recruiting them too. I hope your parents are supportive of you because this will

be a factor for his parents. If his mom is interested you may want to refer her

to this group for cooking advice, and to pecanbread.com. As always, as a mom of

kids your age, I remain impressed by your maturity.

You don't HAVE to have an IBD to do SCD. Anyone with gut issues benefits from

it.

I also don't clog up the posts. Sometimes, I'll send an email to the person's

personal email thanking them. I hope no one takes offense to my not thanking

them because I appreciate this group's advice so much. It's saved me. =)

My parents are very supportive of me, they are just concerend about the whole weight gain thing, which is understandable. My mom has been a support for his mom through this since she has been through it with me, so I think his mom will at least look into any advice that my mom has. After the initial shock wears off and he gets out of the hospital (poor kid!!!) I think I'll just lend them my book. Then I'll talk to his mom about pecanbread and this group. Hopefully it can work for them! Pour Dieu, pour terre,Alyssa =D
