Guest guest
Lucy, Oh, okay, I see. Thank you for explaining! Unfortunately, I'm both 'overweight' *and* 'overfat' I'd like to get one of those scales. Maybe when I lose a little more, I'll get it as a gift to myself. Autumn On Wed, 27 Aug 2003 14:10:45 -0700 (PDT) Lucy writes: Hi, Autumn, thanks for the welcome. I'm not into science or medicine or anything, so I don't have first hand knowledge of how the scale measures body fat, so I'll just give you the explanation from the instruction manual that came with the scale, and I quote " It simply sends a harmless signal through the fat and muscle in your body. This product calculates both your personal weight and body fat simultaneously..... " yada, yada, yada. All I do is enter my height and age, then weigh myself. The scale calculates my body fat with some kind of harmless electric current taking into account my weight, height and age. I used to have it done every so often at the Y. They have a bar of some sort that they enter all your information and you hold onto the bar and it sends the signal through your body and calculates the fat. I had it done once when I was much thinner (about 50 pounds ago). At the time, my weight was within the acceptable range, but my body fat was high. The lady told me that I wasn't overweight, but was " overfat " . And from most of the things I have read, your body fat is a better measure of overall health than your weight is. Woman are supposed to be between, I think, 22 to 26 percent (I think men are supposed to be between 12 and 18 percent). At the time I was 32%. I would love to be THAT now because I'm around 40%. Guest guest
Marcy-your brief posting about what to do myo or UAE really made me think about what I wanted to ask my gyn on my Thursday app. UAE does sound a lot more promising and since I have not had any heavy bleeding in the past 4 months and it is being controlled by bc at this time I am almost positive about the it. I don't want a surgery with a large scar and since I am not planning on having any more children, age 49, perimenopausal and just don't like the bulkiness that I feel. Guest guest
Holly, Sounds perfect! How many chicken breasts do you put in the crockpot? For how long? Do you put the crock pot on high or low? I really want to try this! Thanks Crystal But my total saving grace is my slow cooker! Take those same chicken breasts, put Œem in the cooker with a can of Diet Cola, your choice of brands, about a 1/4 cup of ketchup, some onion or garlic, and let it cook. When you come home at night, you will have a great BBQ chicken waiting for you! On the weekends, I chop and prepare fresh veggies for the week¹s dinners, so it saves me time in the prep work. I¹d really like to try the BIG cooking on the weekends, so I don¹t have to cook during the week, but I¹m just not there yet. :-)

Guest guest
Hi Jackie, WELCOME! There’s nothing “wrong” with popcorn LOL! It just happens to make me FAT, along with other carbs... Sue Hi, I want to introduce myself. My name is Jackie and I'm new here. I have just recently been diagnosed with low thyroid, I don't have my numbers as " they don't do that " (give copies of test results). I have to send in paperwork, which I am in the process of doing, with payment, to get copies. I have many questions, but right now, I am curious, what is wrong (or right) about popcorn? I love the stuff! Thanks, Jackie
