Guest guest
Chaim, Yes, that is what I am talking about. When I pushed the hep I saw on Tuesday as to what I might be facing if this is, in fact, HCC, he asked me if I had any siblings who might be up for a LDLT, so I would assume that it would be a possibility. The other part of the question is one I can't even contemplate at this time. This is a topic I never really thought I would have to broach with either of them. We have good insurance, which I am very grateful for. Colleen

Guest guest
Colleen, With so many medical issues to deal with, it sure is good to know that your family has your back. It's so wonderful (and not surprising) that your Sister and Brother are willing to volunteer with a transplant. My family will include you and your family in our prayers this week as we watch for better news from your Dr.s on Tuesday. Guest guest
- I agree that this is nerve-wracking, but others have given some great advice....especially about not being listed in New England! The wait is too long unless you do the LDLT or move up the list very quickly. You may remember that my former GI thought that I had cholangiocarcinoma and I was scheduled for a stent to be done by the interventional radiologists, but those masses in my bile ducts turned out to be fungal -- VERY rare, but not cancer. Waiting for the results is crazy making for sure, but I hope and pray that you will get good news.
