I am getting some help from my obgyn. He knows that we've been ttc for

9 yrs with no success and is always looking for a reason for our

infertitliy. HE found a book called Hormones Health and Happiness by a

Dr in Tx and called me in. He gave me a couple of papers with adrenal

and thyroid symptoms and told me to check off the ones I had. I did so

and he said i likely had adrenal fatigue and thyroid problems ( uh,

yeah!) so........he wants me to do a saliva test for cortisol. thing

is I'm on isocort (didnt' tell him that) Deb said the only way to get

off is 1 pellet every two weeks. that is wayyyyyyyyyy too long. I

decided to call him today and try to tell him what I'm taking and

explain that since it will take so long to get off I would like to

start hc.....and go by symptoms...

first question. is 1 pellet every two weeks the only way to wean?

2nd. can I just skip one day of isocort and do the test that day?

3rd is there any good info I can send my Dr about isocort to make him

understand what I'm taking (amount of cortisol in it etc)

any other info that you think would be handy. Since he's a obgyn he's

totally going by this book and I think will want me on slow release

cortisol. Deb said to go Cortef instead....I'll see how much he'll

work with me here. I have a feeling he'll want that darn test.....but

to get off of isocort is not a fun thought. I have stuff I need to do

and am just getting it done on isocort (stress dosing alot too)

without it I would be hurting! lol
