Guest guest
Sharon & MSer's Thanks, I have a cane but with my instability it was no help. Thinking a quad cane will work better for Me? Neuro visit to put it Bluntly Sucked. I do have to go for a neuro visit with doc. from Jefferson Hospital. Last time I went 2005 it took 2 months to get an apt. He thinks I've definatly gone done hill from my last visit Time for more aggressive treatment. He mentioned IVG, or perhaps Tsarbi, stronger methotrexate. He also scheduled PT which I start tomorrow to strengthen my muscles or get asst. to help with my balance issues. Also asked him about the oral med to help with walking and gait. He told me to ask the other neuro cuz he probably would know either way if it's indicated for Me. Also... I fell again walking to me car after going to Pak-Mail to fax something I needed. No broken bones I think but my right ribs are so sore. I've got an ice pack sitting on them. Learned the hard way don't rush if it's raining Now got to get something to eat with 4 advil. Later, Terri >> Terri> > I was worried I had offended or angered you by my somewhat flip comment about falling. I agree it is not easy to "give up" and use a cane or motorized scooter or chair. That's the way I thought of it -- as "giving up". But it was so much easier when I finally started using a cane. Then when I eventually used an electric scooter at the grocery store it was a huge relief. I could shop without having to go to bed when I got home. Please don't think of it as "giving up" like I did in the beginning. Instead, accept the help so you can live a fuller, happier life. Do you use a cane now? If so, what kind? big hugs Sharon
