? about Ulcerative Colitis & PSC

It seems like so many people in this PSC group have Ulcerative Colitis and had it before being diagnosed with PSC. Does anyone know what the percentage is, those with Ulcerative Colitis and PSC? Do most or just a few have both? I find this interesting and I am not sure why they seem to be linked together. I am sure I missed some emails on this. My Dad who has PSC has never had Ulcerative Colitis nor any symptoms of it.
