Guest guest
Tracie, You are taking potassium suppliments for ___________. I must have missed the reason and I'm curious what the potassium helps relieve. Dot Mommer wrote: Tracie: I take potassium suppliments. I went to Mayo ER and they were able to give me temp medicines until I can get to the neurologist and he is to call on Monday Thank goodness for relief. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh by the way they gave me the same medicine that the local Dr took away. I was on it for a year. Now they will determine the cause and fix it if they can. Finally Im going to be getting help! The mayo ER Dr was outraged that I was left to suffer for two weeks. With no help and no sign of releif at all. M Yahoo! Guest guest
Hello, I have a similar (sludge) pain as others have described (lasts 1 to couple of hours, most obvious under sternum, but certain RUQ spots very sensitive to pressure, does not radiate to back though, but to front between right nipple and shoulder). In my case I noticed the following three things about the attacks: 1) the blood work does not seem to be elevated during a pain attack. However, if after the attack there seems to stay some uncomfortable feeling for a couple of days, then a blood work will be elevated. 2) during a gastroscopy a couple of days after an attack, they found bile in the stomack (I do not know how it is at other times). 3) at the end of an attack, I urinate a lot with very clear urine (not yellow). A couple of days later the urine may be pretty dark though. I was wondering if anyone has had an ultrasound during a sludge pain attack to see where the problem is in the liver (and if they could reach that with an ERCP)? My doc mentioned that the bile walls of a PSC patient will be so hardened that there will not be any dilatation visible. If anyone has a theory or any knowledge about why bile could end up in stomack, or why the urine gets clear (in my case?), I would be very interested also.
