Dear old and new friends... I am sitting down watching some of the fabulous

Olympics and

the PSC group popped into my head... read a few posts and figured a HB message

went out 6

months ago. Wow, thanks for keeping track of that! Deb is now 2.5 years post

and we are

thrilled for every day together. Overall, her liver has been doing great, though

labs fluctuate

up and down for unknown reasons....we don't pay much attention unless the

numbers really

spike. So-o different from pre-transplant. She did have a scare a few months

ago with a

severe high potassium level. Thought she was having a heart attack at home and

so glad I

told Morgen (our 15 yr old) to call 911. Took awhile for them to figure it out,

but all was well

once she got the treatment. We both did the Seattle 1/2 marathon walk 9 months

post

transplant, but missed last year. Hoping to make it again this year with Team

Transplant, a

great support group. We have lost quite few friends to complications in the

past two years

and always a reminder that every day post transplant is a gift. Our main focus

now is

keeping track of a teenager! Any local seattle-ites, feel free to contact

directly for any

questions or support. dekamo@...

Wishing all the best......
