I was a graduate of this program before it was an associates program.  They were

still ahead of the times...they required us to take some (most) college courses

even though it was just a certificate program.  They had an excellent rapport

with the OR which allowed the EMS students to go in and do about 10-20

intubations per student in just one day, if the student was aggressiv enough and

jumped from OR to OR intubating patients.  I did about 75 upon graduating.  I

give them credit with not having missed and intubation in 10 yrs.  By missed I

mean getting to the ER and not recognizing that I missed the trachea.  It is sad

to see the program being reduced to just the EMT level.  I know when I went

through out of 40-50 students that started, maybe 30 went on to the paramedic

and of those 10 entered the last phase of the program and only 2 passed the

state exam.  Of those 2 only one actually went on to work in EMS.  So sadly Mr.

Hobbs is being

honest about the numbers.
