Guest guest Posted December 5, 2008 Report Share Posted December 5, 2008 Jeane is hazelton near allentown? many, many years ago i lived in allentown -- 1968/69 Patti Gift of Life had a table at a Phillies game in the fall I went to the table and helped give stuff out and talked to a lot of people got the literature and contacted them it was amazing as to how many people would come up to me and say that they are organ donors and a lot of them even took out their driver's licenses to show me what i didn't know before that day is about tissue donors i said to someone in charge that i didn't think anyone would want my organs due to disease and medication she said that they could still use the tissues i learned more about tissue donation at the workshop on tuesday night corneas, bone, skin, valves, veins, etc a lot of the tissue donations enhance lives, instead of saving them, except for skin for burn victims i said to this lady that i wear glasses so why would someone want my corneas? she said that some vision is better than no vision it made sense to me the Gift of Life is also planning a "Family House" -- similar to Mc House.
