Guest guest
-----Original Message----- I am not overly happy with the hep doctors in UTSA. Every time we meet with them we feel absolutely horrible Better yet, next appointment – tell the secretary not to make your appointment with him.You make me laugh!!!We actually talked to his regular doc about all this. We looked at other options, such as starting over at another hospital etc. None of us want to go through that again...so his doctor agreed to call and talk to 's nurse coordinator and is going to see about having him see the hep doc that he personally knows over there. Dr. Ziebert asked if we would be willing to work with the center, we told him it was the center, it was specifically the Hep doctors that we have the issues with. He knows the head hep over there, so he said he would call over there, chat with him, and see if he can't arrange it, so that we always see this particular doctor on our hep dr. day visits. I told him that if he was comfortable with this doctor and could assure us that we wouldn't be leaving there hopeless every time we went, we could give it a try. He does want to go ahead and have the ERCP, but again he would talk to them about it, cause he isn't interested in seeing him stented again, or the horrible liver catheter option they were suggesting (did I mention Wed. went really badly). He was more interested in the exploration that the ERCP could unveil. He is concerned with the increase in liver pains, and hopes that the ERCP might be able to unveil something the MRCP didn't. But again, what Dr. Ziebert wants from the ERCP and what the UTSA was suggesting for the ERCP two different things. And the buggers didn't even call him and talk to him before his appt. friday like they were suppose to ARGH!!!! Just remembering to take deep breathes!!!! ;-)Just our ride on this PSC roller coaster.... in TexasBrother, , 30, UC & PSC
Guest guest
I love Doc Ziebert and I’ve never met him! Way to go to bat for a patient. Of course you can work with the team, “IF” they are all team players! Sounds like Ziebert will handle things just right. Way to go , you’re a great advocate for your brother – he is a very lucky young man to have you in his corner – be sure to tell him I said that!
