Guest guest
>With 10 representing normal health and 5 extreme Hypo, what is the best posible level of normalcy that could be expected half way into the 12 weeks. That depends on a massive number of things such as how bad were you to start with and how were you on previous meds. It's a very personal thing and I can only tell you how my journey was though I am not typical. I had been on Natural for 10 years or so with resistance to that, it wasn't until I got to 6 grains initially that I felt human and that took me to the best I had been for years. My resistance increased over the years and fast forwarding to 2009 I was at 12 grains of Armour and still OK, I then got a new batch and it tasted different and I crashed badly. I thought it was counterfeit and came back to the net asking around, I was right on the leading edge of the reformulation and started finding other people with problems. Luckily I had a little of the old around and was able to keep human until some other natural arrived. The crash was strange, it wasn't normal hypo, it was very strange. I discovered this group while looking around and went over to T3 only which was a pretty smooth journey with only a couple of bumps along the way. If I classified how I was on 12 grains of good natural as a 9 then I was fluctuating around the 8 to 10 mark while I was ramping up on the T3 only (sometimes better than on good natural). I was dosing pretty heavily to do that and hit hyper on breakthrough which lasted a few hours having dropped dose to 1/4 of what I was on After breakthrough I then had to establish a dose and have slowly been optimizing that since. I now know that I have resistance other than that caused by the RT3, dosing natural high enough to clear that initial resistance had caused the T4 to be at too high a level and that had then started producing RT3 and made a second layer of resistance. My daily dose of T3 is now 175, a big dose but I am not hyper on it. I have far less residual symptoms than I did on natural and this dose is stable and I haven't needed to increase for months now. On this I am about an 11 on the scale that I was a 9 on with good Armour, I am better than I have been for probably 40 years. I need less sleep, sleep quality is better, and I can think clearly. I wake feeling refreshed before the alarm clock goes off. > >Also, once RT3 is cleared around week 12 and resulting Hyper Symptoms are brought under control, what level of normalcy can be expected then? > >I'm male on 175 Cynomel. For me it is the best I can remember being. You need cortisol and ferritin in place of course and lots of other things come into play too The other thing I added was lots of vitamin D, I addled it as a result of the flu scares but suspect I have gained other benefits as well Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
