Last year I had 4 days of what I thought was heartburn (never had

heartburn before or since) it felt like I had a a very wide, tight

belt

just under my 'lower bra line'. Then came the shakes, temperature

spikes and in hospital with IV antibiotics for 6 days, but there were

no other symptoms of an infection (e.g. light coloured bowel motions,

dark urine etc).

I asked our family doctor after this was resolved if I had turned up

at the surgery with just the 'heart burn' (looking at my LFT's taken

at hospital they stayed resonablily consistant it was the CRP which

shot up within 4 hours of being admitted) and no other symptoms would

he have pescribed an antibiotic? and he said - quiet possibly not!!!

So do keep an eye out in case it does turn into a bile duct infection.
