Jodi,

Thank you for setting the record straight about the pictures. I

thought I read somewhere that LDN helps with healing of scar tissue (I could

have imagined this). I guess I’ll never know because without health

insurance a colonoscopy costs $3,000.00 and there’s no way I can afford

that.

I am just so thankful to have found the SCD, this support group

and LDN. Like everyone on the SCD my life went from a living hell to hope to

relief of symptoms to ‘ahhh– life is worth living again’. For

that I am grateful.

Carol,

The picture that you see on the group is of active Crohn's inflammation not of

scar tissue.

Still, I have faith that scar tissue can in fact heal by alternative methods

but I cannot prove any of this.

I myself had to have surgery..

Still have faith though many things can work for others including myself.

Hey Carol..

I don't know what LDN can do for scar tissue.

I mean no studies have been conducted.

My scar tissue was very advanced by the time I started SCD and LDN- I think

some people are just too far gone by the time they get here. Still, it has

changed my life.

I would tend to think that if the scar tissue or intestinal narrowing isn't

that bad LDN would totally help.

I know of quite a few people with GI scar tissue on the diet that do fabulously

well and don't need surgical intervention...

I have not spoken to people on LDN in this same circumstance.

I think people who have recurrent obstructions- well that LDN may not be able

to fix.. perhaps LDN can make one's stamina stronger so it doesn't happen as

often but still it goes into the realm of being a mechanical issue.
