When I was in

the hospital recently, one of the nurses who was taking care of me, had a baby

recently in the same hospital, and used a midwife. She told me ALL about it –

it was so fascinating and caring and personal – I wish that this had been

available when I had my children.

My sister used a midwife in a hospital to give

birth. There was very

little " checking " as the midwife said it was unnecessary, can cause

infection, and causes stress for the mom.
