Guest guest
I appreciate your time Nick and I think I understand. Currently I am taking 12.5mcg three times a day at 5:15, 10:00 and 2:00 or 3:00 and then at bedtime I take 6.25 mcg with my last pellet of Isocort. I have done this for four days now. I was quite hypo on ERFA because I could never comfortably increase my dose, so feeling hypo is nothing new for me and the Cynomel has mostly made me feel better. Yesterday, I did have warmer temps and in the afternoon I had a heart rate of 90 bpm for about an hour and I finally made a big glass of warm salted water which calmed the heart rate within an hour. Today my first temp was 98 which is almost unheard of for me first thing in the morning, so I am encouraged.I guess my next increase will be to add a quarter Cynomel to each dose in one week, right? and I am thinking I will do that with the bedtime dose as taking it at that time is helping me avoid that midnight wake up I have grown accustomed to. No one ever told me T3 clears at midnight until Val said something the other day. So far, and I am only a few days in to T3 only, I feel like I finally have discovered the underlying issue that has kept me from optimal treatment for almost 20 years and with the help of this site I will get through this and get better and better. Thanks to everyone for all the great information and I read and reread the collected information at RT3_T3 site. Kris > >With a ratio of 12 would I be okay to increase more quickly? I also take some Isocort with each dose (4,3,2,1). I also read in the book by Brownstein that T3 clears the body rapidly, so if you did increase too quickly would you know it right away or does it build up and hit you like a Mack truck? Kris Nick replied: > We always recommend taking it cautiously, I overshot for a day when I started as I felt less straight after taking T3 than I used to feel taking Natural. My working theory is that I was so resistant to T3 that I was feeling a kick from the T2 in the natural. Generally T3 will stabilize in the body 3 days after a small increase. Over a week or so the T4 levels in the body will sink and cancel that increase out. If you are feeling hypo then you can increase at 3 day intervals to clear the hypo symptoms and then go over to weekly intervals. Most people won't feel the starting dose, it's only as it increases they feel the effect. As some people are more sensitive than " most people " then starting low and edging up looking for symptoms is the safest way to suggest it. I hope these rambles make sense. > > Nick
