Guest guest
Val, I had my doctor's appt today and confirmed that my RT3 cleared! And I am feeling a lot better too. I've had a lot more energy these last few days and for the last few nights, I've been able to fall asleep withou taking typtophan, melatonin, or PS. This hasn't happened for a long time. I also found that the magnesium I was taking before bedtime was too stimulating. So that was probably contributing to my sleep problems as well. So thank you, thank you, thank you, to YOU and the other moderators for getting me through the past three months. I am most grateful for your time and efforts. Okay, now since the RT3 cleared, and I have my latest thyroid labs, I need some advice on whether or not to lower HC or increase T3 first. My free T3 is 315 and the range is (230-420) pg/dl. In the past when my free T3 has been higher, I've felt better. So I suspect I need to get that up higher in the range. But in order to do this, should I lower HC first or increase T3. I wrote on the Adrenals group the other day that I had high unstable temps and you advised me to lower HC, which I did by 2.5 mg and the temps stabilized and I feel fine. Temp is averaging 98.5. So I suspect I need to lower HC more in order to increase T3 or temps will go higher, right?. But will my adrenals be able to handle more T3 on a lower dose of HC? So, I wasn't sure what to do first...lower HC another 2.5 or increase T3. If I should increase T3, how much to start? 12.5 or 6.25? And, here are my iron results: Iron, Total 104 40-175 mcg/dL IBC 324 250-450 mcg/dL % Sat 32 15% - 50% (calc) Ferritin 58 10-154 ng/ML So it looks like my ferritin is a little low. Will I be able to increase T3 with iron at this level or do I need to supplement? If so, how much? Thanks again! Sorry for all the questions. Hopefully soon, I'll be good and I won't have to bother you so much.
