Guest guest
Hi! Thanks for your post. I'm sure it IS possible to feel better, because look at Val and Nick and Diane! And so many others....I just have trouble with the "p" word...patience. Guess I'm a control freak, and this thing, I cannot control. I guess our bodies didn't get this way overnight. Did you have your ferritin level checked? I'm having to start slow due to the ferritin level being lower and taking lots of iron for that, too. But I think I have time to "ramp" up since it takes 12 - 13 weeks for this thing to clear. Hopefully I will start feeling better before then, and you too! You are blessed if you don't have the "air hunger" with this, and you can actually go to work. I'm having to do my husband's paperwork from home. I'm doing good if I can do a little bit of housework, and then make dinner and clean up afterwards. That's about it for me right now! I hope you have a better day today! Subject: Re: Starting Cytomel Symptoms....Please ShareTo: RT3_T3 Date: Friday, June 11, 2010, 1:14 PM Hi Joanie, I started cytomel last Saturday, too. My doc has me taking 25 mcg twice daily so far. Saturday night I had an all-encompassing headache, muscle aches and felt generally lousy. I can so relate to what you said about your head feeling like it's stuffed with a sock! I can't seem to get any work done either! I'm short-tempered, a little agitated, (though cortisol is low) and it seems like nothing goes smoothly anymore. Wednesday I was depressed for practically no reason at all. This morning I overslept. Vaguely heard the radio alarm but continued to lay in my bed like a rock until my husband had to wake me up. I was almost 30 minutes late to work! Also my face is puffy, squinty-looking eyes. All in all I would say I'm definitely feeling hypo. I wonder how/if the dosage should be increased? My doc prescribed the T3 upon my suggestion and I wonder if she even knows how to increase the dosage. After joining this group it seems like everyone starts at a lower dose than she started me. I was taking 1 and a half grains of Erfa thyroid previously. I hope you start feeling better soon! Sometimes I wonder if it is even possible to feel good again. I sincerely hope so!!
