Greetings,

I just ended round 2 DMSA 12.5 mg, every 3-4 hours. I felt kinda lousy the

first day I was on it this time, and had diarrhea all night the first night,

but that might have been from the vitamin C I was drinking, along with an

epsom salt bath and other magnesium. But I think I've done that before,

perhaps not quite as much, and I never get diarrhea. After finally daring to

sleep at 5am, the next day I felt quite a bit better, even visited with some

people and went out to dinner. Whoopee..

I continued to feel not as bad on round, till the morning after I stopped

(Monday), then was quite fatigued (like the walking dead), and still am,

though not quite so bad as yesterday.

I have a few questions:

1. Since I seem to feel somewhat better on-round, would it be a good idea to

boost my dose to 25 mg next time? Or would that mean an even worse

off-round?

2. It was a few weeks between my first and second round (new doc, starting

thyroid, etc), and at some point in that off time I had a 'lymphatic

massage', which was actually somewhat helpful to how I felt (even adrenal

probs). It is supposed to encourage lymphatic drainage. I'm wondering now if

anyone has an idea at what point in the round cycle it would be most useful

to have this type of massage. First day off-round (which is usually the

worst), or later, or some time during the round? It would be good to

encourage less redistribution, but I'm not sure how the massage would affect

this. Any ideas?

3. According to tests I have a low WBC (white blood cell count), which my

doc says is probably due to the mercury. Low WBC, along with my high ANA

(antinuclear antibodies) is a marker for Lupus, which runs in my family

(first cousins). However, I do not have the joint pain which is indicative

of lupus (thank heavens). I'm hoping to be able to do something about this

WBC, as it means my immune system is not working well (even though I haven't

had a cold or infection in a long time). How long does it generally take to

get the mercury out of the WBC, so to speak? Others have experience with

this?

4. Please refresh my memory or refer me to what page in the book it is

described -- how DMSA chelation actually works....does it excrete mercury

through the kidneys/urine, or through the liver/feces? Have been unable to

find this.

5. I know I've only done 2 rounds, and I'm sure you've all heard this

question before. But it would be nice to hear from people when they began to

notice any improvements, however slight, and in what sense. May be inspiring

to many on the list, and help us keep going.

Many thanks to all,

NJ

TK--- No. do a few more rounds at this dosage - Please read general

sugestions in files section

TK--- this will release more toxins so be careful and drink a lot

before and after

TK-- you may have to experimnet with this to see what is the best

timing for massage for you. If it makes you feel better I would

think first day off round.
