Guest guest
I have SIBO - I "started" the diet a few weeks back. Then I went on vacation and now need to restart. After readin Elaine's book, pecan bread site and posts on here I am confused!! Here are a few questions rolling around in my head:Should I start with the Intro diet even if I am not in a bad phase of the SIBO? For me bad is serious distention, discomfort, putrid gas and so on. TOday that is not present. If the answer is no I don't need to do the intro where do I start? If it is yes - the book suggestes even 1 day is sufficent if no diahrreah is present. The first attempt to start the diet I somehow missed the Intro to the Diet part in the book and just ate all the allowed foods. I could see a difference but on a couple of occasions I had small flare ups. My guess is there are certain allowable foods that I may not tolerate well. So the questions is if I do the intro can I then add the allowable foods or do I have to add them one per week? It seems like that will take forver to get thorugh all the allowed foods. How do you NOT get overwhelemd - it seemed like it was all I could do today to cook some chicken.Any insight would be appreciated. I am sure the veterans get tired of the newbie questions but the help is sincerely appreciated!!
