Guest guest
My dog has had gastrititis, gas, bloating and D occasionally since he was a puppy. I give him occasional Enterogermina probiotics, which he loves and he asks for his medicine, Zantac, whenever his tummy bothers him, will SCD work on him too? Is it different for dogs than people? He's a German Sheperd, about 70 lbs, how much yogurt should he have? Did anyone ever do that and where can I find it? FWIW, I took the elder (14) and younger (3) cats off the yogurt and have had all kinds of problems with the younger one. Behavioral, etc. Feel free to email me off list since this is OT. Thanks, Debbie 40 cd

Pre-SCD, I gave Shadow and Sunny yogurt. Store didn't have any full-fat yogurt, or even any low-fat yogurt. I bought no-fat yogurt. Shadow and Sunny refused to eat it. Absolutely refused... which should tell you something about commercial no-fat yogurt. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

Guest guest
I had a 14 yo Lhasa with extremely bloody 'd'. I had to take her to the vet once a week for a shot. They said she had colitis. She also had the last bite of everything I ate and I had her from six weeks on. This was way before SCD or I would have probably put her on it before I even got on it. Now for the cats--I can't stand the idea of raw. I've read just enough. But as far as SCD, they love the yogurt and as I mentioned, the little one *seemed* to start having behavioral problems when I stopped giving them yogurt. I've had trouble making it. Just wondered if anyone else had their picky eating cats on SCD and what you feed them. Debbie 40 cd My dog has had gastrititis, gas, bloating and D occasionally since he was a puppy.
