Guest guest
I have a 4 years old autistic boy and we just started the SCD. He is good at eating meets as long as he can dip it in ketchup. I need a ketchup replacement if anyone has one. I tried to make the nomato version with only beets, carrots and water but he would not touch it. Are there any sweeteners we can use? My DAN doctor says yes to stevia and xylitol but SCD stated illegal > > No it is NOT legal--no sugar or syrups allowed. " Spices " are illegal as they may contain starch as a contaminent. > nomato > > > I am new to the SCD and was wondering if anyone has trued the nomato Ketchup and if the ingrediant are okay for the SCD. Organic Carrots, water, beets, cider vinegar, organic brown rice syrup, sugar, salt, spices, ascorbic acid (vitamin C). >
Guest guest
You can use honey as a sweetener. I'm sure there is an SCD recipe for ketchup on pecanbread.com.
